For many people, the spiraling economy may lead some families to think that change you be nice, maybe some new scenery in a new state. Well don't move too fast. Rankings have just come out listing the most dangerous states in the nation. These states were the results of the CQ Press's annual Crime State Rankings, these rankings were done when every state in the nation was compared against he national average for six main crimes, each crime was equal to the same number of points in order to keep the system fair. In these states especially it has been found that having insurance is very important because the nature of the cities, one of the most popular insurance companies in almost all fifty states was Blue Cross Blue Shield, they are on the most reputable companies in the nation with over 5 million subscribers.

Not surprise, for the fifth year in a row Nevada was ranked number one on the most dangerous state list, with it leading the way in all six categories which are assault, burglary, murder, motor vehicle theft, rape, and robbery. One of the leading factors as to why this state is the leader in all these categories is because Las Vegas is one of ht biggest cities in Nevada drawing in tourists from across the country to visit the city of sin. When people are visiting Las Vegas many tend to be over served which makes tourists more likely to become victims of these crimes. For people visiting Las Vegas, as well as people living in Nevada, it is extremely important for people to have a good health insurance plan that offers immediate hospital care such as Blue Cross Blue Shield.

The next most dangerous state to live in was Louisiana. Louisiana was actually all the way down at number 10 last year, and it made the tremendous jump from No. 10 to No. 2, Louisiana was found to have the highest murder rate in all 50 US states. One of the big reasons why Louisiana is so high up on the list is because since Hurricane Katrina, Louisiana has been very slow in the rebuilding process. It has been found that more than 45% of the people who lived in Louisiana prior to Hurricane Katrina still have not returned to the area. This creates a lot of empty houses, and apartments, which could possibly be used as location for dangerous and illegal activities to occur. That being said it is also very important for people in Louisiana to be insured with a company like Blue Cross Blue Shield because of the dangerousness of the state. Also, it is important for people in Louisiana to be insured because of the possible threat of a future hurricane. The other three states that follow Nevada and Louisiana on the list of the 50 most dangerous US states are New Mexico, South Carolina, and Arizona respectively.
